Isn't DRS just a bit silly?

DRS strikes me as a hark back to the slipstream duels of the 60s and 70s. Yes they are overtaking more but they are not changing positions all that much.

    Yes, its the Disneyfication of F1. Will be quite appropriate when France hosts a race at EuroDisney.

    What is sillier, is that watching practice and qualy it occurred to me that activating the thing presents opportunities and problems very much like a slick, or a botched gear change.

    Perhaps?....................no, that would be stupid. Not complicated enough.
