Could James be in for a promotion?

read this

So, why did this guy leave after 10 years being HEAD of marketing?

I don't like what's happening yo WilliamsF1 this season. At all!!

Let's hope for a double (points?)finish in Istanbul.

  • why do you think Mark is leaving? ;)
  • Well, Red Bull pays extremely well anyway. It's not like he's the only person to leave to go to one of the Red Bull teams, and it's not like they took everyone out of Williams. All the teams have lost personnel to Red Bull.

Sure, Williams is in some trouble anyway, but this isn't necessarily a sign of that.

Because Williams didn't take up the option on his contract. ;)
  • Rekart,

If I gave the impression that I was criticizing (sp?) Red Bull for stealing Williams people, then I appologize misphrazing my post.

My post was about some1 leaving from Williams and the obvious trouble that WilliamsF1 has this season.
That this person went to a Red Bull team is not so relevant (for me).

I wanted to start discussing on Williams' 2006 season !

    Continue!
  • I don't think that many Williams fans would want to discuss this season......................... and todays practice times don't look too encouraging
  • Yes its a bad season here but as we all know teams have peaks and troughs and Williams has the depth to recover. Sometimes you need a bad season to force you to re-focus.....
  • the only team i have some interest in these days...hell i miss Minardi..
  • Greco my friend - Minardi still exists....Euro F3000!
  • Well, how ever it works out James. best of luck:)
  • 3rd in monza test yesterday...

Mike Condliffe, Test Team Manager, WilliamsF1:
“Nico’s first day at Monza was spent testing several brake cooling options, as well as getting used to the new aero package before starting the usual tyre tests. Mark concentrated on tyre and set-up work in the morning then finished the day with further tyre testing in the afternoon. Today’s session was interrupted by no fewer than 10 red flags.”
  • So what you are trying to tell us James, is that Williams has a new aero package that works?
  • Man, I hate this leapfroggin thing that Nico and Mark have been doing all year! Wish we could see some constancy there.

“Alex and Nico were on duty for our final day of testing at Monza. Alex concentrated on comprehensive tyre tests, which took up the bulk of today's running, although there were some new mechanical parts being tested for reliability at the same time. Nico completed work on the specific aero package we will run next week as well as some smaller aero parts before finishing the remainder of our tyre tests ahead of the race.”
