Goodwood Revival

Another great event this year, if rather damp.

Special tribute to Phil Hill with ALL his cars (and son driving) + Moss, Herbert, Rahal, Bell, Jones, Gardner, Liuzzi, Franchitti.

Star of the show for me:

Bloody awesome Lola-Chevvy, chased by a McLaren and GT40s in the rain.

Early-60s F1 cars were lovely too.

Really good hard racing + EIGHT Spitfires in the sky.
(Goodwood was RAF Westhampnett during the war - there is a statue of Bader near the memorial to Bruce McLaren).

Gardner won the Barry Sheene Trophy on a '66 bike and it was great to speak with him - Stirling's career, of course, ended at Goodwood and he told me he simply blanks it out when he drives here, mainly because he can't remember it!

Aussies: Brocky is here too driving an ancient Holden - great race with old Jags and Austins.
