  • Alonso to TOIT.

    Heikki outta McLaren.

    Jacques? Got to be joking.
  • According to the bbc the guy in charge of US F1 has said that Villeneuve may not be right for the team, but ALex Wurz could be!!
  • They should just put in two Americans, what have they got to lose?
  • Danica Patrick.

Decent publicity for a new team will put them on the map straight away.

No No No No No No No and forever no.

She's has only won one race in her Indycar career and that was on a Japanese oval. She's more famous for posing in a bikini for Sports Illustrated, marrying her manager and whinging about the other drivers than for anything she's ever done at the wheel of an Indycar.

Besides which she has been in discussions with Chip Ganassi about a drive next year. Why Ganassi probably because they have a NASCAR setup and when she gets fed up of Indycar she can make even more money doing very little in NASCAR than she can doing very little in Indycar.

  • "They should just put in two Americans, what have they got to lose?"

A bucketload of credibility and, therefore, and shitload of money.

Don't know the other bloke, but Peter Windsor is no idiot.
  • Looks like Crash.net have been reading this forum and pinched my idea. I'll admit there predictions are more up-to-date than mine but some match. We won't know about the 13th team until its announced as to who's been accepted. So no-ones predicted that.

Crash.net's prediction of how they'll line up in 2010:

    Brawn GP: Jenson Button/Bruno Senna

Red Bull Racing: Sebastian Vettel/Mark Webber

    Ferrari: Felipe Massa/Fernando Alonso

    Toyota: Jarno Trulli/Timo Glock

    McLaren-Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton/Heikki Kovalainen

    Williams: Nico Rosberg/Nico Hülkenberg

    Renault: Robert Kubica/Romain Grosjean

Scuderia Toro Rosso: Sébastien Buemi/Jaime Alguersuari

    Force India: Adrian Sutil/Vitantonio Liuzzi

    USF1: Alex Wurz/Ryan Hunter-Reay

    Manor: Adam Carroll/Paul di Resta

Campos: Pedro de la Rosa/Giorgio Pantano

Crash.net predicts no room at the F1 2010 inn for the following:

Rubens Barrichello, Kimi Raikkonen, Nick Heidfeld, Kazuki Nakajima, Nelsinho Piquet, Sébastien Bourdais, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jacques Villeneuve

  • ooh by the way I'm not Russel Atkins he's the Crash.net guy.
  • She's more famous for posing in a bikini for Sports Illustrated, marrying her manager and whinging about the other drivers than for anything she's ever done at the wheel of an Indycar.
You say it as if that's a bad thing... apart from the bikini it sounds like DC's career ;-)
  • btw villeneuve has been rumoured to race in superleague for a few races this year, maybe to get fit for his F1 return ;-)
  • I didn't know DC married his manager.

I thought his manager was Martin Brundle :o:o:o
  • Hard to believe Kimi and Nick to be out of 2010 line-up.....
As for Villeneuve, I'll only believe it if and when I see it.
Danica Patrick? I'm frankly indifferent. But she has no chance at all to make any good in F1.
  • Frank Montagny is the lateast driver linked to USF1. Although he has been in contact with Andretti Green Racing and Gil De Ferran about an IRL seat next year.
