One of the best years for  the Minardi team so far. This was thanks to the strong V12 engine manufactured by Ferrari. The M195 was a very competitive car. Both drivers Pierluigi Martini and Gianni Morbidelli were extremely motivated and raced some brilliant races. The best results were two 4th positions by Martini in Imola and Portugal. That year, Martini came in 11th in the drivers world championship. The team (with a 7th place at the end of the year in the constructors championship) enjoyed its best result ever.
