Because the [[Ferrari]] engines were too expensive the team decided to get powered by the Lamborghini V12. [[MorbidelliGianni Gianni Morbidelli]] was joined by the talented Brazilian driver [[FittipaldiChristian Christian Fittipaldi]]. Fittipaldi (former F3000 champion) managed to get the team's only point at the Japanese GP.
