Goodyear tyres were used. [[FittipaldiChristian Fittipaldi]] had a heavy crash in France but returned and got the only point of the season in Japan.

[[BrunnerGustav Gustav Brunner]] designed the chassis [[M193]] which was powered by Ford V8 [[Cosworth]] and using Goodyear tyres for the fifth time in Minardi history. But by the end of the season, Minardi, struggling for more money, joined Scuderia Italia and got the services of the "God" [[MartiniPierluigi Pierluigi Martini]]. In 1993 we also had [[GuononJeanMarc Jean Marc Guonon]] at the helm of one of the cars at Japan and Australia.
