Imagine yourself being born somewhere near Imola or [[Faenza]], in the heart of the Italian passion for F1. Like most of the boys, you will dream that somehow someday you will get involved in F1 racing.

That is exactly what happened to Gabriele Tredozi. He was born in 1957 in the town of Brisighella very close to [[Faenza]] and also not far away from Imola. His passion for F1 was translated in a big interest in mechanical engineering and he soon won a scholarship in the famous engineering school of Bologna University. In 1988, when he was still a student, [[MinardiGianCarlo Gian Carlo Minardi]] was looking for engineers and Tredozi applied for the job. After an interview at Faenza, he was hired immediately as an assitant race engineer of [[MartiniPierluigi Pierluigi Martini]], a job he kept till 1991, and then again during 1994 and 1995 when Minardi and Scuderia Italia joined forces. In 1996, Gabriele Tredozi was the engineer of [[LamyPedro Pedro Lamy]]'s car and in 1997 he was promoted to a technical coordinator of the team.

It was a highly interesting period, when Gabriele worked under the supervision and help of [[BrunnerGustav Gustav Brunner]]. When [[BrunnerGustav Brunner]] chose Toyota over Minardi and left the team, Gabriele Tredozi became a Technical Director. He was responsible for the areas of design, production, and the technical management on the track.
It was Gabriele Tredozi who launched the 2002 car, expressing himself pleased with the new PS02.

"We are very pleased with the way the new car has come together. We are benefiting in particular from the fact that we have had ample "lead-time" to work on the whole package. For example, we understood well what areas of last season's car we wanted to improve, we have known for some time what engine we are using, and we have been able to put in many useful hours in the wind tunnel developing the aerodynamic package for the [[PS02]]. As a result, we are far ahead of where we were at this time last year." "Now, with an extensive pre-season testing programme planned as well, we believe we are well placed to make progress on the track this coming season."

Tredozi was one of the most reliable engineers whose vast experience helped the team survive the F1 'heat' even in hard and cost-reduction periods. Tredozi currently still lives at Brisighella in Italy, is married to Claudia and has a son Tommaso. Apart from GP racing he also likes cycling.
