MAN Group

Looks like we have them sponsoring us, and I don't think it's driver related. A german industrial organisation, seemingly massive.

Total sales of 14.9 Billion euro in 2004, operating profit of over 500M Euros. Lets hope they have SIGNED a multi year contract and we can get them to ramp it up for title sponsorship. They seem to be the sort of organisation that could actually cover a marketing campaign of 20M a year.

  • If true I am baffled. They are BIG time - trucks, busses, trains etc etc etc. They could afford to sponsor higher up the grid....
  • In the pictures posted below, they are clearly visible on the nose cone... BIG logos too.
  • MAN is a personal sponsor of Albers, so I don't think lots of $ will go to Minardi I'm afraid.:(
  • Bugger... is too.:(
  • I read that their contribution was a fleet of new haulers.
  • But did n;t we just get some used from the Prince of somewhere? Some good deal? Did we really need new ones or would cold hard cash been better?
  • To all points: I have no idea. :(

Well, usually trucks are being leased.
The company where I work leases Iveco trucks for 3 years.
After the 3 years they go back to the dealer and we lease NEW trucks. They make aprox. 180.000Km per year.

Maybe Minardi's trucks were due to be returned to the dealer.
  • Hope they become our engine supplier in '06 :P
  • Re-badged Cosworths ;)

Did anyone notice the Jordan's at the Moscow launch? Rules say they have to wear the name of the engine manufacturer. (or whatever they choose to re-name them) Toyota said they didnt want to have their name on the Jordan, yet had to thanks to FIA rules. However in Moscow there was no Toyota branding on the car.

    Tata was present however. :P

Engine maybe, but what about the aerodynamics ?? P.S. promises us a revolutionary design. I hope it isn't something like this.....:P

  • If I look at Albers' overall, there seems tobe little prominent room left for the logos of Team Sponsors!!!

Maybe because basicly there was no Toyota in it, becasue they presented the EJ13!: ;)

I would have known just the perfect spot for Wilux (specialists in bathrooms......) ;)

Just have the name in size 6 font with a slightly differest shade of yellow so no-onem would ever notice unless it were pointed out to them :D

Is the PS05 going to be one of the above? :P
  • Just like JVC it is just the Dutch branch of MAN that sponsors Albers.

and the reason that there was no Toyota on the Jordan??

  • Is it okay if I pronounce that "tah tah"?
  • Is it okay if I pronounce that "tah tah"?
    I suppose.

Re. MAN: look at this pic,

I think that the sponsor logos that are on BOTH drivers' shirts are sponsoring the TEAM and the sponsors that are on 1 driver's shirt are a driver's personal sponsor !!!!

    Must be an American thing..
  • tah tah's are tits.

  • I guess 'tah tah' sounds like some kind of hooter??

Tuesday is my favorite day of the week. :hehe:
  • They do sponsor the team, but Albers brought them with him, and like I said before: it's just the Dutch branch.
  • I like ta-ta's :P
  • Looking at that pic I am afraid to say that our drivers look a little lite in the loafers - especially Albers. He has that wrist bending thing down a little too well IMO.
  • I guess tah tah comes from teta Rafa. These americans are bastardizing our language, shame on them. They'll be proper spanish speakers in a century, Moctezuma's revenge.
