  • This is USD? If so, thanks to Ford for the seriously discounted engines. Part of the sale too, perhaps?

I sure as hell would like to see the $2.5 million invested elsewhere each year instead of the 2-seaters. Preferably into facilities, R&D or a private wind tunnel.

Not a bad average salary around the shop either, just under 6 figures.
  • Didn't GCM state in the interview that he hoped to have 40m Euros ???
I suppose the new figure means we didn't do the deal with the possible title sponsor !!!!:(
  • About 10 Million Dollars are missing, but there's still the money from the third driver which will come and the money minardi "lost" because of signing Friesacher (according to f1racing.net, Kiesa had 3 times the budget of Friesacher). I think if there's a title sponsor, it will be announced at the launch at Melbourne. Let's keep positiv thinking ;)
  • Three times the money from Friesie ?
Than why didn't Stoddie take him ? Is Kiesa really that slow or dangerous ? Or did Kiesa demand a title sponsorship ?

  • Sorry, he would have had 3-times the budget, but then, problems came up.
  • That lists budget allocations based on money "up front". I would call them predictions unless and until the checks clear.

However, I would like to see the actual money that comes in either directly OR indirectly from that 2 seater program. Not only how much comes in but does it cover all the expenses and does the revenue actually go back into Minardi's coffers.
  • I thought the two seaterprogram was a financial independant company next to the Minardi Formula1 team? They should get rid of it asap!
  • drivers 0.6
For some reason, thats funny :hehe:
  • Before everyone starts bagging the two seaters. What this doesn't show is the income side of the ledger.

    Sponsorship
    2 seater income
    etc, etc.

  • the two seater programme will do a lot to bring in potential sponsors. PS wouldnt have it if it wasnt paying dividends.
  • I asked the same thing above - where is the income going. As far as NEW sponsors, I have not seen evidence of new sponsors gotten from the 2 seater program.

Funny, I think the Army was paying me more in my Florida days...;)
  • You did time in the Green Machine?
  • You did time in the Green Machine?
Not really, chief. Was a civilian contractor, did the training software for the Comanche helicopter, while that lasted. I worked for a private software company, but we were essentially under the foot of the Army personnel in charge of the program (and the fine folks at Boeing).
  • "we were essentially under the foot of the Army personnel in charge"

This how countries should be run.....................
  • Ofcourse Sgt OZ, do you have change for a 100?

    Hooooooo rah!
  • I know nuthzing, NUTHZING, I tell you......................

    Connect for example...
  • And it might help convince already-sponsors to stay on board for the future !!!!
  • The 2 seater program is a waste of time. I think Stoddart's approach to F1 is summed up by the fact that he's spending more money on that program than on windtunnel testing.
As for bringing in sponsors. I can't think of any sponsor that has been signed since he has been running the 2 seaters. Can it now and lets put the money into R and D.
  • Nomad you scaring me.
    What's next K9 vicepresident?
  • Yoko, as long as I am the one to train the K9, you just got yourself a VP. :D
  • salaries 7.6
Ok agreed this figure is way less than most teams, however most teams have far more people. With a lack of big name department heads where does 7.6 million go?

Don't get me wrong I think our boys deserve good pay, it just seems that 7.6 million is a lot.
  • There was everyone on here saying that the 2 seater thing had nothing to do with the F1 outfit etc etc.....Sorry to say ...

    I told you so........

Get rid of it. Put the money into development.
  • 1) try to find an aerodynamic specialist for less

    2) I guess the figure includes such thing as accommodation and flights for the team which does add up.
  • If that includes travel expenses then of course I'll scrap my last statement........
  • Everyone has this concept of the 2 seater "has to bring in new sponsors". No it doesn't. It just hs to generate an income.

I'd spend 2 mil if it meant that I could get 2.5-3mil in income. That's a no brainer. Also TOIT have 2-3 two seaters in red for their use. Why I don't know cause they are being pricks at the moment.
  • TOIT have 3 red two-seaters because Marlboro, I'm pretty sure it is them, pays to have them red.

Income isn't a substitute for the morale lost.
